Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall has won two straight games against the Cardinals, and he would be a huge part of knocking St. Louis out of the playoffs.
The St. Louis Cardinals were in the driver’s seat. They stole game one on the road against Dallas Keuchel and the Atlanta Braves. Jack Flaherty, the Cards ace was on the rubber for Game 2.
They were set up to be 2-0 heading back home.
Until they weren’t.

Pinch hitter Adam Duvall stepped up the plate and delivered a two-run home run to center field to propel the Braves over the Cardinals to tie up the series heading to Busch Stadium.
But Duvall didn’t stop giving Cardinals fans nightmares once the Braves got to St. Louis.
Tied in the top of the ninth, Brian Snitker put Duvall up to the plate in hopes of replicating what he did 48 hours before then in Atlanta.
He pretty much did just that.
Duvall singled to center fielder Harrison Bader, and his throw was right to score two runners giving the Braves a two-run lead that was saved by Mark Melancon in the bottom half of the inning.
He has just tortured the Cardinals, and for Cardinals fans, it must be such a pain in the neck to see a bench player go out and win the Braves consecutive games in the postseason, and now their back is against the wall going into Monday’s game 4.
Duvall has made a case for himself to be in the starting lineup, but Brian Snitker enjoys having the luxury of having a bat-like Adam’s off the bench late in ball games.

And you know the phrase ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Well, that is just what the Atlanta Braves will try to do as they are one win away from a trip to the NLCS.
